Fantasy Irish Whiskey Awards 2020


With the COVID-19 Pandemic affecting the hospitality trade so badly everywhere, and as a consequence the official Irish Whiskey Awards blind tastings are not taking place, we've created this online FANTASY version just for fun and for Irish Whiskey fans to take part in.


It's been a difficult year for everyone but in the interest of keeping 'spirits high' (pun intended) we'd love you to send your nominations to us for this fun fantasy awards. We'll make a shortlist then and invite everyone to vote.


We've set up the following categories and now ask you to send in nominations. This is open until Monday 28th September at 5pm. After this time we will put together a shortlist from nominations for voting.

 

Irish Whiskey categories -


  • Irish Blended Whiskey (RRP of €60 or LESS)

  • Irish Blended Whiskey (RRP of €60 or MORE)

  • Irish Vatted Pot Still (nothing to see here.. yet!)

  • Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey

  • Irish Vatted Malt

  • Irish Single Malt Whiskey (up to and including 12 Years Old)

  • Irish Single Malt Whiskey (13 Years and older)

  • Irish Vatted Grain

  • Irish Single Grain Whiskey

  • Irish Cask Strength Whiskey

  • Irish Single Cask Whiskey


Please follow the following guidelines when nominating Whiskeys.

Be sure that you are nominating in the correct category.

To be eligible, Whiskeys must be currently released, in supply and available.

 

Irish Whiskey Bar categories -


  • Irish Whiskey Bar (Ireland)

  • Irish Whiskey Bar (International)


Please follow the following guideline when nominating Whiskey Bars.

Please only nominate Whiskey Bars that you have actually visited and experienced (yes this includes international!) and only nominate bars that have a reputable level of products and service excellence please.

 

Irish Whiskey Personality categories -


  • Irish Whiskey Brand Ambassador Of The Year

  • Irish Whiskey Writer / Blogger / Podcaster Of The Year


Please follow the following guidelines when nominating Whiskey a Personality.

Name the person and the brand or organisation they are attached to. Nominate who gave Irish Whiskey best coverage in their articles, blogs or podcasts.

Give a one line reason for each nomination.
